ABOUT ME

I am a Broadcast Journalist, who has graduated from City, University of London. I am originally from Turkey, and I have a keen interest in radio, photography, and music.

I have a diverse and creative multi-media portfolio that has covered a range of topics, including current affairs, health and science, contemporary issues, literature, and much more. I regularly contribute to my blog and social media platforms.

I am very interested in the role that social media plays in the 21st century. It is a platform that both connects members of the public whilst also isolating them at the same time. I believe it is crucial to integrate people into the news-worthy events that are occurring around them, by giving them a chance to voice their concerns and take part in the storytelling, because if isolation from social media continues, distrust in media organisations and between people will also grow.

The realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own...an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you'll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk.
