In the second interview with Oprah Winfrey, coming out on Sunday, the Duchess of Sussex spoke about the risks of not remaining silent about her experiences as a royal and how much she had "lost already".

The 30-second trailer revealed that the Duchess believed that Buckingham Palace played an "active role" in targeting herself and her husband.

This comes as the palace launches an investigation into claims that Meghan had bullied royal staff out of their positions, which was published in the Times earlier this week.

The allegations of bullying from the Duchess centre around emails exchanged back in October 2018 between the royal couple's former communications chief, Jason Knauf, and Simon Case, Prince William and Kate's former private secretary.

There were claims that the Duchess had bullied "two PAs out of the household" in the email.

Other allegations against Meghan include how she reportedly "humiliated" her royal staff and left another staff member in tears.

A spokesperson on behalf of the Sussexes said that the Duchess was "saddened by this latest attack on her character", especially as a former target for bullies herself.

The couple's lawyers maintained that their royal staff were comfortable and content.

The timing of the allegations of bullying against Meghan has also been scrutinised, as it is thought that the reportage of the claims was purposefully timed to undermine the couple's interview with Oprah Winfrey.
