Bride and groom who posed for pictures on train tracks in North Yorkshire in July showed "plain stupidity", Network Rail states.
This comes as the transport authority released a compilation video of cyclists, pedestrians and even school children earlier this year to warn the public of the dangers, all of the people featured in the footage used the railway tracks or level crossings as photo opportunities.
However, not all attempts to warn the public through adverts have work in Network Rail's favour. Back in September, a Cheshire school complained about a photo of two former pupils that was used in a safety message by Network Rail, the school deemed it as "inappropriate" and a poor attempt to conceal their underage identities.
Superintendent Alison Evans, from the British Transport Police, says: "Every time someone strays on to the rail network they are not only putting themselves at risk of serious, life-threatening injury, but also delaying essential journeys."
Head of Passenger & Public Saftey for Network Rail, Allan Spence, said: "Please, make sure you know the rail safety basics and pass that knowledge onto your loved ones. Lead by example and stay off the tracks."
