Two dead and 20 more injured during Myanmar protests

This comes as anti-coup demonstrations have grasped the city and former capital, Mandalay, for over a fortnight.
Police clashed with protesters at a shipyard and reports suggested that they used live gunfire and tear gas in attempts to break up the rally.
However, police have denied using lethal force against demonstrators.
The EU has condemned the violence in Myanmar that has escalated in recent weeks, with the first death confirmed on Friday of Mya Thwe Thwe Khaing, who was shot in the head.
The military coup, which began on the 1st of February 2021, overthrew Aung San Suu Kyi's government.
The 75-year-old politician is currently under house arrest as her political party, the National League for Democracy party, has been accused of an illegitimate election win and breaking the law.
The military's claims have not been proven.
