Storm Hannah: What you need to know

Storm Hannah is a low-pressure system currently passing over the UK, bringing heavy rain, strong winds and traffic disruptions with it.
A yellow weather warning, especially concerning wind speeds, has been issued across central and southern England and Wales. So far, 82 mph winds have been recorded however the yellow weather warning is said to remain only until 3 pm today. While a yellow weather warning for rain has been issued for Northern Ireland, as chances of flooding are likely.
According to the National Severe Weather Warning Service, residents in 'yellow' areas should be cautious as bad weather is possible over the next couple of days, and resident should anticipate possible traffic delays.
Storm Hannah approaches the UK after visiting Ireland, leaving around 10,000 - 32,000 Irish homes without power.
According to Western Power Distribution, a trading and distributing network operator working in south-west England, South Wales and the Midlands, reports that 1,700 properties have been left without power, most of these properties are in Wales. Other severely affected areas include coastal regions. However, this may change as Storm Hannah moves inland.
