Three lunar phenomena will occur simultaneously in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The name of this stellar event is called a Super Blood Wolf Moon and will take place between 2 am and 4 am on the 21st of January 2019.

.

It combines a 'wolf moon' (the name of the full moon in January), a super moon (refers to a time when the moon is very close to earth) and a total lunar eclipse, where the moon will have a reddish glow in its appearance.

This interstellar event is of particular interest to UK sky observers as it is the last blood moon in two years and it will be the last total lunar eclipse until 2029.
