Face-to-face teaching in UK universities is being urged to be postponed until Christmas amid union concerns of a second wave of COVID-19.
The University and College Union said that over a million students moving around the UK was a "recipe for disaster". Union leader, Jo Grady, said on BBC Breakfast that universities were not prepared for becoming risks of a second wave.
University bosses have countered this along with the Department for Education, saying that they have worked hard to create a safety plan for students returning to university life since lockdown measures introduced in March.
New policies will greet many students coming to universities in the next few weeks including, face covering, social distancing, safety partitions, smaller classes and a blend of online and face-to-face teaching.
Issues surrounding university accommodation contributing to COVID-19 concerns have also been brought up. But few universities have told their students to move out of their halls of residence.
