Prince Philip was admitted to hospital yesterday evening after he was feeling unwell

According to Buckingham Palace, the 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh was taken to King Edward VII Hospital in London "as a precautionary measure" on Tuesday.

It is thought that this measure was taken on his doctor's advice and that he is currently in "good spirits".

While the Queen remains at Windsor Castle with the HMS Bubble, the Prince's admission has not been described as an emergency.

It is thought that he will remain in hospital for a few more days and a source from the palace has said that the incident was not related to coronavirus.
