Peshawar mosque explosion kills seven

A blast in a religious school in Peshawar, Pakistan leaves seven dead and over 100 people wounded, 8.30 am local time today.
According to the police, the explosion occurred at the Speen Jamaat mosque in the Dir Colony region.
It is thought that children, as well as 20 to 40-year-olds, are amongst those that were killed.
All those that have been injured, have been taken to hospital.
No group or individual has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Muhammad Ali Khan, the police chief in Peshawar, said: "The initial investigation shows […] that five to six kilogrammes [11-13 pounds] of explosive material was used [and] that someone came here and left a bag of explosives."
Shafqat Malik, the chief of the police' bomb disposal unit, said that the explosive was a "timed device". Speaking to local media, he described the bomb as a "high-quality device" and the attack was "planned with great thought".
This incident comes after an attack on Sunday in the city of Quetta, which left three dead. The explosion came from a motorcycle and was claimed by the militant group, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).
