Ten people injured and several more unaccounted for in "disaster" landslide in Norway this morning.

The landslide, covering 210,000 sq m, has buried houses and reportedly moved buildings.

It is thought that heavy rain may have caused the soil to become unstable around the south-eastern village of Gjerdrum.

Local reports suggest that around 500 people in the village had to be evacuated and one of those wounded was hurt badly.

The Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, tweeted this morning, saying: "It hurts to see how the forces of nature have ravaged Gjerdrum. My thoughts go to all those affected by the landslide. Now it is important that the emergency services get their job done."
