The Milwaukee Bucks boycotted their game against Orlando Magic in protest against the shooting of Jacob Blake.

The team were due to come on to the court, but when they did not emerge, a statement was released calling for justice for Mr Blake.

The Bucks demanded that state legislative leaders in Wisconsin, where Blake was shot, should "take up meaningful measures" on law enforcement violence.

Game 5 of their playoff series and the other playoff games were rescheduled by the NBA yesterday evening.

Blake was an unarmed black man that was shot by police on Sunday in Kenosha. The incident has left him paralysed from the waist down.

Some reports suggest that his children were present when their father was shot.

Members of the Milwaukee Bucks have spoken and stood up against racial injustice before. Back in 2016 Buck's president, Peter Feigin, said that Milwaukee was the "most segregated and racist place" he had known.
