The Duke and Duchess of Sussex call for "structural racism" to end in a piece in the Evening Standard.
They said that despite the recent changes in the UK, there had not been "sufficient progress" achieved and they urged the importance for young people to see leaders and prominent figures with the same skin colour as them.
They said that they hoped that the future could be "inclusive, as one that is equal, and one that is colourful."
This comes as Black History Month begins today.
They wrote: "For as long as structural racism exists, there will be generations of young people of colour who do not start their lives with the same equality of opportunity as their white peers. And for as long as that continues, untapped potential will never get to be realised,"
In the following interview, Meghan Markle said that although the death of George Floyd's death which had sparked several Black Lives Matter protests across the globe had been "inflammatory for a lot of people", peaceful protests wanting equality were "beautiful".
Prince Harry said that while some may see their comments as controversial, it was essential to utilise their platforms.
