An 18-year-old man is arrested for the killing of two sisters in a park, says the Metropolitan police.

He was arrested in south London and remains in custody on suspicion of the murder of 46-year-old Bibaa Henry and 27-year-old Nicole Smallman in Fryent Country Park in Wembley.

Their bodies which were found to have multiple stab wounds were found two days after attending a birthday party at the park.

The head of the inquiry, DCI Simon Harding, has said the case is a priority for the Met and officers are working around the clock to identify the perpetrator.

While the main and extensive forensic work at the park has finished, smaller searches of outer areas are still taking place.

This arrest comes after two Met officers were suspended after "inappropriate photos" of the bodies were taken at the crime scene. The officers were arrested by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) and have been bailed.

The IOPC is also looking into how the Met police force handled calls from the family and friends of the victims after they went missing.
