Jamal Khashoggi's fiancee, Hatice Cengiz, says that Saudia Arabian crown prince should be punished, in a statement released today.
In a press release that was published on Twitter, Cengiz said it was "essential" for the prince's punishment. She added: "This will not only bring the justice we have been seeking for Jamal, but it could also prevent similar acts recurring in the future."
This comes after a US government document, released on Friday, found that Mohammed bin Salman had approved the journalist's assassination.
The researcher, who was engaged to Khashoggi, believes that Joe Biden's administration should punish the prince after the findings of Washington's four-page document was published.
However, it is currently unclear what action the US government will take if any.
This comes as the White House will make a further announcement on policy changes concerning Saudi Arabia on aid for Yemen but there has been no mention of whether the measures will directly target Prince Mohammed.
