Well, as the weather gets colder and lockdown in the UK has forced us to occupy our time with new activities and creative tasks, I wanted to share mine and my bestie's step-by-step guide on how to make a frozen Strawberry Daiquiri.
To start off, here are a few things you might need before we get started!

(Equipment that would be handy: a blender, a weighing scale, measuring spoons, a lemon/lime squeezer, a bowl, an empty and clean bottle, a measuring jug, an ice crusher/rolling pin, a spoon and a small saucepan.)
Here are the ingredients (will create three servings):

700g of frozen strawberries
90g of white sugar
Seven tablespoons of water
Two limes
Half a lemon
White rum (two shots per glass)
Step one:
Heat the water in the saucepan on a low temperature

When it starts to get hot, stir in the sugar slowly. Continue to do this until the water is a cloudy and dissolved mixture. Then place the mixture in a bowl and put it in the fridge to cool off for around 20-30 minutes.

Step two:
While the sugar mixture is cooling off, place the strawberries into a mixing bowl and try to mash them up a little with the ice crusher/rolling pin. Once the strawberries become a lumpy paste, place this into the blender.
Step three:
Squeeze the limes and lemon into a bowl.

Step four:
Place the lime/lemon juice and the cooled sugar mixture into the blender with the mashed strawberries and then turn the blender on. (It might take a little while for the ingredients to blend together properly, but don't worry!)

Step five:
Once the ingredients are mixed together, pour the mixture into the empty bottle. You can use the measuring jug mentioned earlier, but we found a funnel in our kitchen which we found was very useful for this step!

Step six:
Once the liquid is in the bottle, place the bottle in the freezer for about two to four hours. (Note: the longer the liquid is left in the freezer, the longer/harder it will be to get the mixture out)

Step seven:
Once the strawberry mixture has reached a slushie-like consistency, take it out of the freezer. Then you will need to pour out the two shots of rum per glass.

Step eight:
Pour the strawberry slush into each glass evenly, if getting the frozen mixture out of the bottle proves to be too difficult, you can either:
a) Use a long, thin spoon to try and get the mixture out.
b) Cut the top of the bottle with some scissors (be careful!)
c) Run warm water over the outside of the bottle, to loosen the frozen liquid inside
Step nine:
Before serving, make sure to mix the slushie liquid and the alcohol together properly, otherwise, you and your guests will just get a mouthful of rum!
Step ten:
Serve up! (feel free to decorate the glasses if you want some extra pazazz)

Hope you had fun, thank you for reading!
