Explosion destroys house and leaves three people in critical condition

One adult and two children are in a critical condition after an explosion tore down a house in South Wales yesterday.

The incident took place on Church Road in Seven Sisters at around 2 pm.

Five emergency vehicles and an air ambulance attended the scene, according to the Welsh Ambulance Service.

Neighbours helped pull the 31-year-old woman, known as Jessica Williams, and her two boys, both under the age of six, from the rubble of the terraced house.

According to the South Wales Police, all three victims are in a critical but stable condition.

Authorities are looking into what caused the explosion, that also damaged surrounding vehicles and properties from which fourteen had to be evacuated.

People are encouraged to avoid the area and the road has been closed.
