Recent figures show that eight more people have died from COVID-19 in England, according to NHS England.

All the patients were elderly people with underlying health conditions.

This brings the total of reported deaths in hospitals in England 29,181.

While there are no new confirmed deaths in Scotland over the last 24 hours, there have been 23 new cases of COVID-19.

Twenty-one of these were reported yesterday, making it the highest daily amount of cases reported in a month.

In Wales, there has been one new death from COVID-19 reported on Sunday. Despite this, 31 new cases of the virus have been reported by Public Health Wales.

This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Wales to 16,928.
